Ashley Bergeron is an emerging, talented potter who has found a unique style all her own. Raised in the arts, Ashley began her training at the age of six when she began taking illustration courses. This continued all the way through high school as she continued drawing, adapting to the use of charcoal and painting with acrylics. She always showed an astute interest in the capturing of landscapes and the more detailed flora and fauna within them.
As she attended college, Ashley took her first ceramics course and it was obvious early on that this was her calling. Combining her eye for aesthetics as well as her love of functionality, Ashley was able to find her muse. After she acquired a kiln and a wheel it was off to races. Over time, she settled into a noticeable style, incorporating sgraffito (carving) into her pottery to highlight her still ever-present skills in illustration. Although she has found a style that is exceedingly her own, Ashley never shies from innovation and is willing and able to tackle styles foreign to her when creativity strikes.
